What's up with the new 3D craze? Two commercials during the Super Bowl. The television show, Chuck, was in 3D the next night. Coraline is in 3D if you see it at an Imax theater. Aliens Vs. Monsters, which will be a summer blockbuster is also coming out in 3D. I've heard there's new technology out, but wow, what a sudden influx!

Yeah - I saw Bolt in 3-D with my son. The new technology in theaters was great. But the 3-d ads... not so much. It's almost too bad, because I think the expectation now for somebody who hasn't used the new glasses and technology - is that the movies will look like the headache inducing color bleeds of the ads. They almost should have addressed that disparity - but I don't know how.
ReplyDeleteOn the plus side - the real stuff, rocks. I mean it's not like the view master panes of objects overlaid- objects have depth and texture. It's really neat - and I hope it actually survives the business odds.
